Days 7-8 - Pinolo, Spain to Chirivel, Spain (November 4-5, 2020)
November 4, 2020
A half day of driving found us crossing regional borders 7 times in one day! We were relieved to only once see police checking with drivers and that was for traffic heading the other direction. We arrived in time to have a run just before dusk in Pinolo, Spain. We decided to stay in a fee camping area so that we could have a hot shower and internet connection.
We made it! We arrived in Chirivel in the late afternoon.
Herman deserves all the credit for getting us from The Netherlands to Chirivel. Spain in just 7 days. (I only drove once the whole way and that was early on this last morning!)
The picture above has significance because we finally made it into the Andalusia region and there were no police checks at the multiple region borders we crossed on our way! We were so happy to know we would make it on time for the current house sitters, Ruth and Brian, to depart on time for their flight scheduled back to Gambia, Africa. We had a wonderful two days overlap with Ruth and Brian before they departed for their own adventure...
