Day 6 - Sant Jordi d'Alfama, Catalonia, Spain - November 3, 2020

Woke up totally alone near a lake this morning and We are now in the Catalonia region halfway between Barcelona and Valencia on the Spanish Costa Dorado. It’s super windy tonight and there were rain storms off and on all day. There are some major advantages to traveling comfortably in a camper! Our hope is to cross the regional border tomorrow into the Valencia region. We have a plan B in the event that we are denied access into that region due to Covid restrictions.

A few images from a long day of driving which ended with an overcast and windy afternoon at the beach.

We parked near the medieval castle Sant Jordi d'Alfama. We arrived in time for a nice long walk along the deserted and windy coast. The rocky beaches were completely empty due to COVID, the time of the year and weather.

We spent a cozy evening cooking, playing games and out of the weather in SAM and were thankful not to have to pitch a tent because of the high winds! The following morning presented the last big challenge for us to arrive to Chirivel. Would we be allowed to cross the regional borders between Catalan to Murcia? All the borders were officially supposed to be closed between regions.
